How is it different to the whitening systems you can buy in
the supermarket?
Whitening kits sold at supermarkets and pharmacies have limited effectiveness,
for two main reasons. Firstly, the concentration of whitening agent in ‘over-the-counter’ kits
is lower and less effective than that in dentist-supplied kits. Secondly, the
generic mouthguards found in supermarket/pharmacy kits usually fit poorly,
causing leakage of the whitening product into the mouth instead of holding
it against the teeth.
How white will my teeth become?
Most people’s teeth whiten by between 2-8 shades. Results vary between
individuals, and depend both on the starting shade of the teeth, and the cumulative
amount of time spent using the whitening kit.
Is it safe?
Yes! It will not soften enamel or existing fillings. The primary ingredient
(hydrogen peroxide) has been safely used in teeth whitening for over 100
years and is recognized as an effective whitening ingredient by the dental
community.
Will it make my teeth sensitive?
The majority of our clients experience no sensitivity. The whitening product
in the kits we provide is the very best available, and unlike many other
brands of product, is gentle and contains ingredients specifically designed
to prevent tooth sensitivity.
